COLLISION TERMS
This protection replaces a portion of income if the car you drive while working for gig worker platforms is being repaired due to a traffic collision. The payment is governed by the terms of this membership.
Terms with special meanings are defined. See the Definitions section of this Certificate. Other terms with special meanings are defined where they are used.
1.
Benefit Provisions
1.1 How Payments Start For Accident Protection
To start getting payments from this policy, you must meet all of the conditions listed below, as well as elsewhere in this Certificate:

Your membership is active
-
You are involved in a traffic collision
-
The date of the traffic collision is after the membership start date
-
The vehicle you use for gig worker platforms is in the automobile collision center
-
You must provide proof of the accident, as defined in the payout provision section
1.2 When Payments Start For Accident Protection
Your benefits from this Certificate will start on the latest of the dates shown below:

The date your membership starts
-
The date your payout is approved
-
The date your vehicle is sent to the automobile collision center due to a traffic accident
1.3 When Payments End For Accident Protection
Your benefits from this Certificate will end on the earliest of the dates shown below:

The date your maximum days of payout is met
-
The date your weekly or monthly payment is not made
-
The date your vehicle is out of the automobile collision center
1.4 Daily Benefits For Accident Protection
Your daily benefits are 80% of your Daily Income across all the platforms you have on file

Your benefit will be rounded to the nearest dollar.
1.5 You will not receive payment for accident protection if:

You fail to provide any of the information required, as defined in the payout provision section
-
The damage to the vehicle is due to reasons other than a collision
1.6 You can still receive a payment if:
-
The traffic collision happened while you were driving the vehicle for personal use
-
You are at fault for the collision
-
You are not at fault for the collision
1.7 In cases where the vehicle is deemed a total loss, the maximum days of income protection shall not exceed the maximum days provided by your membership up to 14 days.
1.8 In cases where the vehicle is rented, the maximum days of income protection shall not exceed the maximum days provided by your membership up to 14 days.
2.
Payout Provisions
You must request a request for payout through the Kover web portal. You cannot file a request for payout through email or text.
2.1 Proof of qualification
You must link all accounts you work with, such as Uber, Lyft, UberEats, Postmates, Instacart, DoorDash, Wonolo, Amazon Flex, Grubhub, Shipt, Deliv, or Caviar at the time of enrollment on the Kover website.
2.2 Proof for accident protection
You must provide the following information to receive payment:

A video explaining how you got into an accident and where you got into an accident.

Date and time of the accident

VIN of the vehicle in the automobile collision center
-
License plate of the vehicle in the automobile collision center
-
An estimate provided by your auto insurance adjuster
-
A bank account that supports wire transfer
-
Any additional information requested by Kover payout specialist
3.
Other Exclusions
Aside from the exclusions stated in other sections of the certificate, your request will not be paid in any of the following events:

Your car is in the repair shop because of an accident that occurs before your membership start date

Striking an animal is not a collision
-
Striking a flying or falling object is not a collision
4.
Concealment or Fraud
If you or anyone acting on your behalf has intentionally concealed or misrepresented any information or circumstance that you had a responsibility to disclose, or engaged in any fraudulent conduct, or made any false statements relating to this membership:

Your membership will be voided in the event of any fraud which occurred during the onboarding process

Your membership will immediately be terminated on the date that any fraud occurred during the period of membership
and in either case:

Any fraudulent request or a request which relates to a loss suffered after any fraudulent activity will not be paid

Any money already paid out for requests which are later deemed invalid or fraudulent will be pursued for recovery
-
Law enforcement, legal services, other financial services organizations and anti-fraud databases, as appropriate, will be informed
5.
Right to Termination
Kover reserves the right to terminate any member’s account if the user does not follow user guidelines.
DEFINITIONS
1.
Automobile Collision Center
An automobile collision center is an establishment where automobiles are repaired by certified auto mechanics and licensed technicians.
2.
Traffic Collision
A traffic collision occurs when a vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrian or road debris.
3.
Daily Income
Daily Income is calculated based on the best consecutive 30 days out of the last 90 days. If you have less than 30 days of data, then the daily income is the average income you earned over the period that you work for the platform.
4.
Maximum Days of Payout
Maximum days of payout is the maximum days you selected during the enrollment process.
5.
Membership start date
Membership start date is the date your membership turns active and you receive your activation email.
6.
Member
Member is defined as one individual named on the membership. The membership cannot be shared with or transferred to another individual.
